We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended and supported our VE Day 80 Community BBQ and Act of Remembrance at Hydepark War Memorial Orange Hall on Monday 12th May 2025.
With the help of funding from Antrim & Newtownabbey Borough Council, we were able to host a meaningful and inclusive event that brought together local residents of all ages to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE Day.
The afternoon included a respectful Act of Remembrance, followed by a community BBQ that gave everyone a chance to connect, reflect, and celebrate the peace and freedoms we enjoy today.
We are proud to have played a part in marking this important milestone in our shared history, and we thank everyone—attendees, volunteers, and supporters—for making it such a special day.
